“Just returned from co-preaching with Rev. Gary Richardson,” Thomas Moore wrote his Facebook friends today.
“Gary and the parishioners at Park Street United Methodist Church were just the kind of congregation I needed to worship with on this sunny Sunday in Belmont, NC.
“One of the special treats for me was to talk with my high school counselor. Mr. Page heard that I was to sing and preach on this communion Sunday. We had a few moments to reminisce.
“During the service, I sang and played ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘Precious Lord’. And..I assisted in serving communion. Yes. This is the second time I have been asked to serve. The first time was at Myers Park United Methodist.”
